You're ahead of me, J.P.: I didn't really tune in until they went to prison.

My sense is that the British media are ahead of Americans in covering Pussy Riot. I've read better coverage of their Iceland show and other recent events in both the liberal and conservative U.K. media: They're treating its work as something of general interest, not just for a niche group of music fans or people who share PR's politics.

But I suspect the American media will jump on it after the show opens Jan. 27 and that you'll see stories splashed all over the LAT/AP wires the next day, if only because of the amazing photo op of, say, 1,000 fans in balaclavas showing up on the streets of a major U.S. city. That should be fun to to see!
