You are so right about that "one epic scene" that made you believe in true love again. It so often seemed to involve one person racing to an airport to stop someone else from getting on a plane.

The racing-to-the-airport scene became a cliche, but it's a cliche that worked--in the sense of holding your attention--almost every time. What might a counterpart be in the age of apps: racing to delete something you posted by mistake, maybe? It just wouldn't have the same drama :).
