What happened to your friend is such a sad example of how Orban's nationalist and anti-immigrant stance may be poisoning one-to-one encounters, too. It has to trickle down to other Hungarians.

A great irony is that when my grandmother came over, early in the 20th century, Hungarians were among the most persecuted groups in the U.S. They were treated horribly. Orban seems to have no sympathy at all for groups who may now be suffering, at his hands, what Hungarians have suffered at others'. It's tragic, and I agree: He has to go.
