Validating writers' experiences was exactly what I hoped to do. Thank you! So many authors seem unfairly to blame themselves when, in fact, there's a bear market for books authors who aren't stars. And it can be masked by other facts, such as the soaring popularity of audio books.

I love audio books--and am very happy about their rise--but if all the surveys are right, they just aren't translating to more money in authors' pockets.
