Among your favorites that I've read, I'd disagree only with Time's Arrow, which I found to be essentially a stunt book. And some of your choices were inspired. Death Be Not Proud has fallen off the literary radar for no good reason: It's very moving and, because it was written a couple of generations ago, it reflects a very different approach to childhood cancer than you usually find in today's feel-your-feelings age.
