This is such an apt description of the behavior of some birds. Ducks like to look at their reflections, too. They stand in front of the hubcaps of cars in a parking lot near our duck pond, gazing at them.

But I'm not sure yours is looking at "himself." Do birds realize that they're looking at themselves? Or do they think they're seeing another bird and keep waiting for it to sing?
