This is one of the most helpful articles about tech that I've read on Medium. And it's *the* most helpful I've read for someone like me who's also had a moderately successful blog and a following on other media (as a columnist for both a mass-circulation magazine and major metro newspaper). You made me see all the reasons why I might want to switch eventually from a subdirectory to a subdomain, although I'd hadn't previously considered doing that.

I also like the overall tone, including that you put your credentials in itals at the end (which I do, too) rather than trumpeting them up front with humblebragging (or just plain bragging) like: "You should listen to ME because I've had bonuses! I made X dollars last month! And I'm just better than you!" I gave this article 50 claps, and it's one the rare Medium posts that I might have given 100 claps if the system allowed it. Thanks so much.
