The comparisons that really get me occur when a blurber crams several authors together, as in: "This book is what you might get if a Jane Austen heroine went on trial in a John Grisham novel in a futuristic setting by Isaac Asimov." Uh, what?

The more authors the blurber drags in, the less clearly you see the book. You and i are definitely on the same page on this one.
