That would be a great Medium post: a firsthand experience of visiting the P&J Museum! Please consider writing it or a broader piece on learning about civil rights in Birmingham and Montgomery, especially during the summer travel season.
So many people don't know how much there is to see. The other day I read about someone who was visiting Birmingham and paused at the 16th St. Baptist Church thinking, "That's an interesting-looking church." The person started reading a plaque and realized: "OMG! That's the church that almost sparked the civil rights movement singlehandedly!" It was a completely accidentally discovery the person might have missed.
There's also a place--I believe in Montgomery--where you can see things like a preserved public bus from the Montgomery Bus Boycott (I saw a picture on the Alabama tourism dept. website). You probably wouldn't have to do much research because you've been there and the websites of the tourism dept. and others have a lot of info online.
Please send me a link if you write either piece. I can give you ideas on which Medium pubs might like either piece if you do.
