That quote started with the Second Waver Bella Abzug and was widely quoted or paraphrased in her day by Gloria Steinem and other high-profile feminists.

But you seldom, if at all, hear it from today's younger feminists. They may have forgotten it. Or they may not care as much about the issues implicit in it. It's often said that the Second Wave focused on equal rights and the third wave on intersectionality (i.e., including the groups perceived to be left out earlier).

I singled out the Second Wave only because its members were the first to use that expression and still seem to use it more than later waves.
