Thanks so much, Jeannie. I had a long debate about whether to use that photo as the header or another I love, a photo of a Navajo that I used elsewhere in the story.

I went with "Migrant Mother" because I'm a big believer in the principle of: The main photo should say as clearly as possible what your story is "about." And the Lange photo is universally recognized as one of the great photos of the 20th century while the Navajo photo--great as it is to my mind and that of Smithsonian curators--might not have sent as strong a message. Much appreciate your view.
