Thanks so much for telling me about these novels, which I didn't know about. My sense from my research for this story is that today India still has one of the world's highest rates of leprosy, so some of what the novels say may still apply. Can you imagine what it's been like for India to try to respond to Covid while still dealing with diseases like leprosy?
