Thanks so much for mentioning long Covid. A lot of people seem to be discounting that possibility.

Yes, some people have mild symptoms. But those who develop long Covid can have months of "brain fog" or worse. The work I do can be very demanding intellectually, such as reviewing dense and difficult scholarly books. I can't imagine how I could keep it up with long Covid, so almost any precaution seems worth it.
