Thanks, Simon. That piece got me into @Fanfare, and I'm grateful for it. You had to submit work samples to @EricPierce get accepted, and I'd been on Medium for such a short time, I'd posted nothing on TV or film and just a few book reviews. Sendak was almost the only thing I had that seemed as though it might qualify. Luckily Eric is a kind-hearted soul who didn't look at my one article say, "Gee, this is a pretty skimpy portfolio" :).
