Thanks, Sadie. I don't listen to podcasts, but there are a lot on true crime, and people say many are good. They may do better than some of the books.

There's also excellent historical true crime, such as Kate Summerscale's The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, a genre I didn't include here because I haven't read anything in it that I'd consider queer true crime. But I suspect there are great books about Oscar Wilde tragic legal persecution. for example, that would fit the bill. Maybe your readers can suggest a good book about that.
