The Whitmire column I linked to is the first I've read that deals with something you see here ALL the time (and nationally in the rhetoric of De Santis types): Pols have realized that overt race-baiting could cost them too many votes so they've switched to LGBTQ-baiting, often by attacking what they call "LGBTQ agenda." It's so sad.
