Thanks, Jee. Houston is a Southern city, and as such, you might expect it to be extremely conservative (which, in some ways, it is).

But Klineberg's book left the impression that it's where you might find more Korean-Americans than anywhere except New York or the West Coast. Anecdotal evidence from my life also suggests that it welcomes Asians more warmly than would many parts of the South in general and Texas in particular.
