Thanks for making the point about censorship from the left. I spoke about it very directly in my talk and see what happened to Gilbert as an example.
I didn't make a big point about it here both because some of the related issues (e.g., Rowling and cancel culture) have been exhaustively covered elsewhere and because things like the attacks on Rowling--bad as they are--are overshadowing horrors like the record numbers of journalists being thrown into jail. Which is worse: canceling a rich white woman who has the resources to defend herself or imprisoning in. Iran those 79 journalists who don't have them?
What I was trying to do was to speak for the voiceless rather than those with big platforms like Rowling. But perhaps I should have said that directly (and I may do a story just on the censorship from the left at some point). Appreciate your giving me an opening to say that.
