Thanks, Eric. You make a good point about how the schools are the main point-of-entry for to mental health services for some children (esp. with the reductions in Medicaid over the past few years).
What's frustrating is that I know there's good research on the benefits of mindfulness-based stress reduction programs for adults with some physical or mental health conditions. But if there's similarly solid research on the benefits for early school age children, I haven't seen it. It almost seems as though schools are grasping at straws here.
