Thanks a million for mentioning the Michael Derrick Hudson case, which is very relevant to this discussion.

I disagree with Hudson that publishing is biased against white people, but I've heard similar views from others (James Patterson has made a comment to that effect and apologized). And I suspect we haven't heard the last of it, alas.
