Thanks a million, Alex. It really was like watching a slow-motion car crash.

It's been maddening to hear the pundits talking about the Walz-v.-Shapiro issue without mentioning the racial issues that may have affected votes for the first black female candidate for president.

Re Julia Roberts: In the U.K. the Spectator has an excellent article up on its website called something like "Is This Election the Death of the Celebrity Endorsement?" Look at all the celebrities who endorsed Harris: not just Roberts but Springsteen and Oprah and Taylor Swift. The pundits aren't talking about how that went bust, either.

Have you considered doing at least a Note on Substack at the Roberts video? I'd love to read it.
