Thank you SO much, Inge. I didn't see the Pacific Northwest Nutcracker, but I've seen photos of Sendak's deservedly celebrated sets. They are wonderful! His quote about WG comes from his collection of his essays on children's literature, Caldecott & Co., one of my lonstanding touchstones for high-quality reviews of picture books from many countries. So glad you like his work, too :).
