Thank you so much for mentioning those promising "Pathway to Violence" programs! Follman praises them highly.
As he explains them, those programs are very different from profiling in that profiling focuses on traits like age, race, or sex. "Pathway to Violence" programs look specifically at behaviors that anyone could do, such as stockpiling weapons or doing surveillance of a target. They seem to make so much more sense to me.
I'm so sorry you had one of those Fourth of July shootings in Philly! I love that city, where I spent happy hours while growing up in South Jersey (summer) and an NJ suburb straight up Rt. 1 from it (year-round).
