One network I listened to did mention that the first juror chosen gets to be the fore. And that was the most interesting thing I heard.

We must have been watching different stations (because overall you seem to have heard more commentary than I did). "Lazy journalism" sums up the problem well: That's part of why networks are focusing so aggressively on one issue.

I might watch the sentencing hearing, too, although it might be all about the reactions of Trump and others instead of substantive issues. It's so sad to see what broadcast journalism has become.
