Okay, this is the former journalism prof in me speaking, but: You can be distinctive without being sensational or writing about issues you consider too personal. Your later comment tells me you know how to do it: "Be bolder" (not necessarily in the views you express line-by-line but in your selection of topics and, yes, titles).
An approach that works well for me is taking down overrated books: e.g., one of my most popular popular posts involved "Where the Crawdads Sing" (the bestselling book in print in the U.S.--in any category--two years ago). It was called, simply, "Where the Crawdads Sing Is the Most Overrated Book of the Decade." That approach might not work for you--you have to find your own style--but if you'd like to see if it would work, pick the film you think is the most overrated of 2021 and *say that* in the title. (There's a huge myth on Medium that "negative" posts don't do well; my experience is the opposite.) If you're not earning as much as you could right now, what do you have to lose?
