Oh, boy. Don't get me started on Southern gerrymandering--it would take up more space than these comments have.

SCOTUS just struck down an egregious example in Alabama and ordered gerrymandered lines redrawn. It was a rare hopeful sign in the voting rights battle. But a common view here is: Alabama will just redraw them in another prejudicial way. It's been going on for SO long.
