Kevin -- This is off the point, but while I think of it, I'd love to see a Riff piece called something like "10 Great Local Bands You Haven't Heard of But Should Have" in which Riff writers from around the country each contribute a paragraph on a rising local band worthy of more notice.

There's a really good band called Roman Street in Mobile, Ala., that's played with big names and done a couple of European tours, which might not rate its own story but would be worthy of a mention in a roundup like that (which I'd be glad to do) and that people in other parts of the country probably don't know of. http://www.romanstreet.com/
