It’s remarkable that you mentioned machines!

When I saw your response, I was finishing a post on why we need to stop saying, “Political machines are dead”! I describe only four states where machines live on (NJ, NY, Illinois, and Alabama) but certainly agree about Massachusetts. I submitted the piece to Politically Speaking, which tends to respond quickly, so it may appear tomorrow. If you have time to leave a comment, I’ll support any you make about the Bay State, because if I’d done 5 states instead of 4, Mass. would probably have been next.
