Interesting! In the shows I've seen Matt Dillon shoots only self-defense: that is, when somebody's pulled a gun on him. And Miss Kitty, his implied love interest, has shown no interest in other men, let alone fit the whore-with-a-heart-of-gold image.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment re Native Americans, I wonder if INSP has chosen not to rerun episodes that play to egregious stereotypes such as bloodthirsty Indians or hookers with a heart of gold. I'll have to watch a few more if I revisit the subject.
