In an upscale New York suburb where I used to live, the Sundays included Easter. To the coach's credit, when parents protested, he agreed to cancel an event on the holiest day of the Christian year.

I wouldn't be surprised if teams elsewhere had practices or games on Yom Kippur or high holy days for other faiths. Bet the people reading this could come up with examples.
