If I were to read one more Sayers, it would be Gaudy Night. It sounds as though the Oxford atmosphere might resonate, although I'm mildly worried about getting a lecture on women in academia (not because they haven't faced awful conditions, but because I've read so many books about their plight, I'm not sure I'm up for one more).
