I subscribed to Netflix for years, but as a book critic I've generally had a steady flow of books to review from editors. My Netflix queue became an investment in guilt on top of all them.
Fortunately, I live an immensely hospitable region, the American South, where people will open their doors if you'd like to watch something. They'll try to feed you, too! I've spent a lot of time in Scotland, where the hospitality is also impressive, but I might give the South a slight edge because we have better weather. That means that for most of the year, you can host a group of almost any size, indoors or out.
