I love Kael's writing, too, but, like you, don't always trust her judgment.

I'm glad I read Witness for the Prosecution, in part because of the movie. But in general I prefer her novels. In the short stories, Christie packs the clues so tightly together, you almost can't come up for air. But I'll never forget Marlene's performance in "Witness for the Prosecution."
