Hi, Kirk -- Sorry, that form isn't as clear as I'd remembered. But you can write to one of the Riff editors, noahlevywriter@gmail.com, send him a link to the Beatles story, and ask him to add you. You can say I suggested it. (If interested, could you jot down his address ASAP so I can delete it and keep him from getting spammed?) As a backup, you could leave a comment on any post Noah or Kevin Alexander has written for the Riff.

Editors at other pubs *can* take a frustratingly long time to get back to you--so long that it can seem like a rejection when it isn't. In my experience the way to beat that is to apply to a fair number a lot of pubs you might want to write for well before you have something to submit so you're ready to go and can get a quick response when something is finished. In your case I'd apply to: @MySelection (for posts about books like Berry's); @Synergy; @TheIllumination (or just @Illumination--not sure which); @FromtheLibrary (books, lit trends, etc.); and if you plan to do political posts, something like @PoliticallySpeaking. If you might do anything age-related, @CrowsFeet is a fantastic pub with a very fluid definition of the age of its audience and what you can write about. (It's like The Riff in that it has a really engaged audience; you get tons of claps, views, etc.) OK, that's a starter list. Good luck! Jan
