In Mobile County, schools are closed for the entire week for a so-called "Mardi Gras Break," including what I'm sure some see as Mercredi Gras. From the Mobile County Public Schools Facebook page:

"REMINDER: All Mobile County Public Schools will be closed February 12-16 for the Mardi Gras break."
