But her book also raises questions about how she might have handled those differently. An obvious one is: If she wanted an MFA, she had options besides the U of M program she seems to have fixated on, ranging from applying to other brick-and-mortar schools to getting an online MFA. It's never clear why she didn't go for one of those.
