Are you interested in doing book reviews also? If so, consider putting together a portfolio and applying for this fellowship (if you live in the U.S.) https://www.bookcritics.org/2021/04/23/applications-for-2021-2022-emerging-critics-fellowship-now-open/. It could be a great way to get the feedback you mentioned in another post. Given your interest in film, you might especially excel at reviewing books in which words and images interact (e.g., graphic novels or the highest-quality picture books, such as those by Chris Van Allsburg, whom many critics consider America's greatest living picture book artist). @FanFare has a "Books" section, and you could start by submitting reviews there.
