Alan -- This is alarming. I've been a staff editor at several major media (and am still a freelance editor and writer for a national magazine). Tools like Grammarly may be useful in some circumstances. But they should never substitute for an editor's judgment and common sense. Thanks for keeping this important discussion going. Jan
