Agree with all you say. There are many cultural (and I'd add, political, spiritual, and other issues) around education.

But journalists try to show the general through the particular, which is what I was hoping to do here. I wrote about a related issue in a story I posted today on the old fixation on self-esteem (which I mention briefly in this mindfulness piece).
