Adam -- This is heartbreaking (about your wife's blood cancer especially). It really resonated for me because I live in the state with the lowest vaccination rate, Alabama, and whose residents I'm sure will pack the Cotton Bowl today. What are they THINKING?

Consider trying to get something about your experiences into a publication where your story will get wider exposure. On a place like @TheShortform (closed until Jan. 2) you can do 150 words and then link to this. The same is true of @EverythingShortform (not closed), which has a very nice editor @KevinAlexander who responds promptly. Longer publications that respond and publish fast once you get accepted include @WritersBlokke (which isn't just about writing) and @Illumination. Hope you'll keep writing about this.
