A wonderful book by a great writer. This one been a bit upstaged by more recent books like "The Looming Tower" but may never be surpassed as a moment-by-moment reconstruction of the event and absolutely belongs on this list. I hesitate to compare it to a book about a very different sort of event involving a major loss of life, but this book reminded me of--and I suspect was influenced by--Cornelius Ryan's classic book about D-Day, "The Longest Day." To people who've looked for years for a book to admire as much as that one: This is your book.
